The Castle is the oldest, most important and emblematic building in Riba-Roja from the point of view of its origin and historical evolution. It has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. It is a large volume construction, formed by the successive juxtaposition of different bodies built from different periods (from the 11th to the 19th century) and which have undergone very important processes of transformation and substitution, which confers a great diversity and complexity to the building.
The castle includes two museums, the MUPLA (Museo Visigodo de Pla de Nadal), the MUCA (Museo de cerámica del Castillo) and also the Espai d’Art Contemporani ECA.
Winter visiting hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm
Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm
Summer visiting hours:
Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm and from 6 pm to 9 pm
Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm
Can I have an event at the castle?
Yes! Weddings, concerts, presentations, meetings, congresses, etc. are held in the noble hall of the castle.
