Grand Doge’s Festival – Riba-roja de Túria

The Riba-Roja de Túria Tourist Office is organizing the 2nd Grand Doge’s Festival for the weekend of 7, 8 and 9 September. A festival set in the culture and lifestyle of the Visigoths. Do you dare to discover it?

The Gran Fiesta del Dux will take place throughout the entire old town of Riba-Roja de Túria, where a Visigothic market will be located, various trades and professions of the time will be recreated, and we will be able to participate in workshops and in the Visigothic toy library. The gastronomy will also be present with show cooking that will invite us to taste typical dishes of the 7th century. There will also be dramatized performances, dance, and Visigothic music. And of course, we will have the presence of the lords of the Pla de Nadal, Tebdemir and his wife Teodora, their escorts and freedmen. During the three days, there will be open days to visit the site of Pla de Nadal and the Visigoth Museum of Pla de Nadal.
